Parts of Speech
QUESTION
1).What is Part of Speech?
2). What are Parts of Speech?
To answer the questions,
The Part of speech are basically categorized words that help you understand English grammar better. By dictionary, it is a class of words based on the word's function. Moreover, it's a fundamental and canonical basis to analyse sentence structure.
Namely: Articles (determiners) , Nouns, Pronouns,Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs, Conjunction, Interjections, And Prepositions
The part of speech indicates how the word functions in meaning as well as grammatically within the sentence. Study the picture below for some examples.
Furthermore, They are the "building blocks" of the language. Think of them like the parts of a house or if you want, consider them the human cells or body organs. Our brain has it's own function, to give command to other cells; so as the heart, which is to pump blood and so on. When we want to build a house, we use concrete( to make the foundations or base. We use bricks to make the walls. We use window frames to make the windows, and door frames to make the doorways. And we use cement to join them all together. Each part of the house has its own job.
